I am a great fan of the 70ties Sailor because it was my first Record I bought with 11 years!
Who can help me to find Sailor Videos from 1975-1978 in DVD-Quality (No Youtube-Quality please)
Thanks!
I also search the Sailor-Special from German-TV (1976?)!
Greetings to all Sailor-Fans!

~ Tx Uli for the Info about Sailor inTV. ~ It's a shame what they are using on Stage instead of a Nickelodeon these times. That's only what's leftover from their last creation: A "Cardboardelodeon"

The "zdf-theaterkanal" (Astra and selected cabel-networks) just showed "Hits, Hits, Hits", the best of 1976 with Sailor performing "A Glass Of Champagne" and Henry playing the military drum beside the Nickelodeon Mark I (Not that embarrassing peace of cardbox or what is left of it).

Ahoy everybody, Sad News about a big Sailor-Fan: Uwe Badtke is no longer with us on that Ship of Life. Sadly he passed away in February and on his funeral they played "A Glass Of Champagne". Let's think of him @ the next gig. ~ A last salut to Uwe~ Greetz: Cap K ~

Dear Gabi
Thank you very much for your kind reply. I bought my ticket in December last year as soon as they came on sale.
The reason I ask is that the concert is also be billed at the columbiahalle, which is away from the airport.

Gabi kindly replied - This airport is closed and the eventsare inside and outside, but you have to pay the entree, now it´s cost around 30/40 euro. Hope I could help a bit. Bye

Once again - thanks for help, if anyone has any further update please can they post on here ?
Hugs
Ianto

Hello Sailor fans everywhere.
Just a bit of info I’d like to share with you all. I’ve seen Sailor 4 times in my life, first at Sheffield City Hall on what I think was the 3rd April 1975 when they supported Steve Harley, the ticket price was £1.25. I do have the ticket stub somewhere, I’ll have to dig it out and check the date.
I went on to buy tickets to see them on tour at Rotherham Scala (Formerly Odeon) as it says on the ticket! Tuesday 24th February 1976, price in the ‘front stalls’ £1.50. I can’t recall whom they had supporting so they couldn’t have been much good!
Next was 2nd November 1976, Leicester De Montfort Hall with Smith & D’Abo, ticket price £1.75 and lastly at Reading in June 2004.
Every show has been great and I’m pleased to see the band has survived through the last 35 years.

I only ever saw one televised performance of 'Girls Girls Girls' back in the 70's. Sailor's presence here in the states was non-existent, but somehow that song stayed with me, and with YouTube I was able to locate that same clip and from there acquaint myself with the amazing music that I missed back then.
Thinking about Georg's website for the Sailor musical and possible movie, I can't help but think that it would be best served with a highly stylized, almost operatic presentation, visually similar to Moulin Rouge, although with infinitely better music.
Glad to see so many other fans here!
